Simple Solutions for Social Media Marketing on a Small Budget

Hey Friend,

Social media marketingDo you think you need thousands to get into social media marketing? Think again or better, read on…
You don’t need to spend a fortune to promote your business through internet marketing. When you first start off as an entrepreneur, it can be difficult to decide how best to spend your available funds. One area that offers the most confusion is marketing.

I’ll walk you through some of the best solutions for social media marketing on a budget.

Create Social Media Business Profiles

The first place to start is with social media marketing. You don’t need to spend a dime to begin promoting yourself or your products on social media. Start by choosing two or three social networking sites to focus on.

One of these sites should be Facebook, as they have the most users. Along with Facebook, you could choose Twitter, Google Plus, Instagram, or LinkedIn. Consider the average demographic of these sites and which platform your target audience is most likely to use.

Join Relevant Social Media Groups

Create a business profile for these sites. At first, you should minimize the promotion of yourSocial media groups own products or services. Focus on building relationships with others in your industry. Join relevant groups on each platform. Begin joining conversations and get your name out there.

Facebook Groups are available for almost any industry. If you can’t find a relevant group, then create your own.

Create a Schedule for New Posts

After you grow your follower base, you can start sending out posts and tweets promoting your products or services. Create a schedule for these posts. You should try to post on a daily basis. Though, the majority of your posts should not be related to self-promotion.

Try to strike a balance between self-promotion, helpful posts, and curating posts. Over half of your posts should offer your followers beneficial information. This could be content that you find elsewhere on the web that you believe your followers will enjoy.

Create a Facebook Ad Campaign

facebook_icon11Once you have a Facebook business profile, you should consider starting a Facebook advertisement campaign. This is one of the most affordable options for creating an ad campaign. You get to target a large segment of the population.

Over 70 percent of internet users have a Facebook account. This number is continuing to grow. Unless you’re targeting teenagers or the elderly, there’s a good chance your target audience has a Facebook account.

When using a Facebook ad campaign, you can pay for impressions instead of clicks. For a few dollars per day, thousands of people can see the post that you promoted.

Offer a Freebie Item to New Followers

In addition to the tips already provided, you could give your new followers a freebie item. You don’t need to spend any money on this item. Creating a short guide that your followers can download is one example of a free item that costs no upfront money to create.

Choose a topic related to your products or services and create a short guide. Convert your document into a PDF and then create a spot on your website to provide users with the download link. Once a visitor clicks on the link to follow you on Facebook, they’ll receive the download link.

Social media marketing doesn’t have to break your bank. When you’re first starting out, it can be hard to gain recognition. If you’re struggling to sell your products or services, use these tips to boost sales and grow your brand without spending a large sum of money.

Along with these simple tips, I’d like to offer you the chance to gain conversion-ready internet marketing prospects. Click here to learn about my done-for-you system.

6 Tips for Writing a Call to Action That Converts

Hey Friend,

What makes a good CTA? What makes it converting like crazy? Let’s go over 6 tips that can make a significant difference in your CTA converting.

Content is the foundation that you use for online marketing. While quality content is essential, a well-written blog post or email is less likely to convert if you have a poorly worded call to action.

A call to action needs to grab the reader’s attention. It spurs them to take action. If you’ve noticed that your online marketing content is under-performing, then you should take a look at your call to action.

If you need help creating an effective call to action, then use the following 6 tips. Learn how to write a call to action that converts.

Keep Your Call to Action Short

Call To ActionThe very first step to writing an effective call to action is to keep it short. You should try to keep your call to action to less than 150 characters. Essentially, your call to action is an “act now” button or link. It should be short while still conveying a specific message.

For example, instead of simply stating “call today”, you may state “call us today and get a free quote”. Always check the total character count of your call to action. Don’t be afraid to trim a word or two.

Use Actionable Verbs

Use action words to get your reader to complete the desired action. Actionable verbs are words that can actually be performed by a person.

For example, when you include the word “Call” in your call to action, you’re encouraging your reader to call you. Other examples of actionable verbs and phrases include:

  • Click
  • Download
  • Try
  • Join
  • Start
  • Talk
  • Reply
  • Place your order

Create Urgency in Your Call to Action

In addition to actionable verbs, you should try to create a sense of urgency. You want to createCall to Action an emotional trigger to give the sense that they need to “act now” in order to take advantage of your offer.

For example, you wouldn’t state “call us anytime to learn more”. Instead, you would state “call us today to learn more”. Here are a few examples of words that you can use to achieve this:

  • Now
  • Today
  • Limited time
  • Act now
  • Don’t delay
  • Last chance

Provide a Value in Your Call to Action

Another solution for boosting your conversion rates is to provide a value in your call to action. Including an offer or special promotion in your call to action lets your readers know that they’re getting a deal.

When writing your call to action, you may mention “call today for a free quote”, “call now to get a 50% discount”, “click here to receive your special gift”. This is a simple way to convert skeptical readers.

Make Sure Visitors Can Read Your Call to Action

Call to actionAlong with the actual words that you use, you need to make sure your call to action is readable. This means avoiding small fonts or intricate designs.

You can use graphics and interesting designs in your copy. But, your call to action needs to be highly visible and readable.

Keep Your Action Simple

Once a reader clicks on your call to action, they shouldn’t have any problem completing the next action. If the action is filling out a form, the form should be simple. If the action is giving you call, they shouldn’t have any problem finding the phone number.

Use these tips to start writing calls to action that actually convert. You should also consider using A/B split testing to test the effectiveness of your calls to action.

Exploring The Most Cost Effective Online Marketing Channels

Hey Friend,

In overwhelming information online about what marketing channel you should use, you could be in doubt what to do and end up doing nothing. There are so many ways you could market your business, but you need to pick only a few, especially when you are just starting.

What are the best online marketing channels? There isn’t a straightforward answer to this question. Every business is different. But, there are certain channels that tend to be more cost-effective and provide higher conversion rates.

If you are looking for a way to stretch your online marketing budget, then explore the most cost effective online marketing channels.

Here’s a quick overview of the online marketing channels that’ll be covered:

  • Email marketing
  • Pay-per-click advertising
  • Social media advertising
  • Blogging

Email Marketing

Eemail MarketingFor some reason, many entrepreneurs believe that email marketing is outdated or ineffective. This is simply not true. Email marketing remains the most cost-effective way to increase conversion rates and boost sales.

Compared to all other online marketing channels, email marketing offers the lowest cost per lead. While social media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter, have millions of users, everyone has an email address.

As long as you’re smart about your email marketing strategy, you will get positive results.

Make sure that your emails encourage your subscribers to take action. This could include visiting your website or purchasing a product or service. You should also create a sense of urgency in your emails.

Also, don’t ever purchase an email list. You should always build your own list using opt-in forms and other methods.

PPC Advertising

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is another marketing channel that is thought of as being past its prime. Again, this isn’t true. PPC is affordable and effective. You just need to optimize your PPC campaign.

Before you put together your PPC campaign, you need to perform thorough keyword research.Pay Per Click The key to an effective PPC campaign is choosing the right keywords. Use the Google AdWords Keyword Planner to research keywords and find phrases with low competition and medium search volume.

Along with keyword research, you need to have a title and description that grabs attention. You have limited space available. Your title and description used in your PPC advertisement shouldn’t be vague. It should be clear and direct.

By having a clear message in your PPC ad, you’ll naturally notice higher conversion rates. Focus on a specific demographic and speak directly to the customer.

Social Media Advertising

While email marketing and PPC advertising have been around since the beginning of online marketing, social media marketing is relatively new by comparison. There are two methods of using social media as a part of your online marketing strategy – regular activity and advertising.

Social MediaFirst, you should be active on social media. Create a schedule for sending out new posts or tweets. This helps you build your subscriber or follower base.

Along with regular activity, you should include social media advertising in your marketing strategy. This could include Facebook Ads, promoted Tweets on Twitter, and advertisements on LinkedIn.

As with PPC advertising, you’ll need to optimize these advertisements to increase conversion rates. Again, use Google AdWords Keyword Planner Tool to find the most effective keywords. Focus on a niche category.

Blogging

Here’s one more online marketing channel to include in your overall strategy – blogging. Blogging is extremely cost effective. You likely already have a website. You just need to start adding regular blog posts.

Blog posts can be shared on social media, linked to from advertisements, and are incredibly beneficial from an SEO standpoint. Blog about topics relevant to your products or services.

BloggingYou should also create a schedule for your blog posts. With a regular schedule, visitors will know when to come back for more posts. This increases repeat traffic and allows you to develop a loyal group of followers while also establishing yourself as a voice of authority in your niche market.

As you start developing and refining your online marketing strategy, consider using the marketing channels described above. Along with these tips, don’t forget to check out my simple lead generation system. Click here to learn more about my done-for-you system.

Using A/B Split Testing to Increase Conversion Rates on Landing Pages

Hi Friend,

Word or two about split testing this week. This is an absolute must if you are taking your online business seriously.

Split TestingIf you’ve ever used an email marketing campaign to promote your business, then you’ve probably used A/B split testing. It’s a common method for testing the effectiveness of different calls to action, headlines, subject lines, and other variables.

You can use these same methods to test your landing pages. If you feel that your landing pages are not converting, then use A/B split testing to determine the what needs fixing. Get started with these easy to follow steps for A/B split testing to boost the conversion rates of your landing pages.

Decide What Variable You Want to Test

The very first step is deciding which variable you want to test. Only test one variable at a time, such as a call to action or your primary header. If you make more than one change, it’s hard to analyze the results of your split testing. Only choose one variable to change and only run one test a time.

After choosing a variable, create two separate versions of your landing page. Make a note of the date that you made the changes so that you’ll be able to analyze the results at a later date.

Link to the Two Versions of Your Landing Page

Whichever marketing channels you’re using to direct traffic to your landing page, create two Split Testingseparate versions linking to both versions of your landing page. For example, if you’re using PPC advertising, create two separate ads. The ads should be identical other than the URL of the landing page.

If you’re using email marketing, then send out two separate emails, linking to the two different versions of your landing page. As with the PPC ads, the emails should be identical other than the link in your call to action.

Analyze the Results of Your Test

The amount of time that you should wait before analyzing the results of your test will depend on how much traffic your website receives. If you receive hundreds of visitors per day, then you can analyze your results after several days. Though, if you get less traffic, you may have to wait for one week or longer.

ResultsIn order to analyze the results, you’ll need some form of analytics software, such as Google Analytics. Look at the statistics for your two landing pages. Don’t pay attention to the total visits. You should only look at percentages.

Focus on the conversion rates for the two pages and the bounce rate. Determine which version of the landing page had a higher conversion rate. Consider the differences between your two pages. Whichever page performed better, implement the changes to the other page. You can now perform your next test.

Continue Performing Tests to Tweak Your Landing Pages

After you complete your first test, you can continue performing A/B split testing to tweak your landing pages. You can perform as many tests you’d like, learning from the experience and discovering what works best.

Once you have perfected your header and call to action, you could consider testing the structure of your text or the content on your page. You can also test the images that you use, the color scheme of the landing pages, and any other variables that can impact the performance of your landing pages.

A/B split testing isn’t complicated. You just need to remember to focus on one variable at a time. Wait for the results and make changes based on the outcome. Use what you learn to increase your conversion rates and make your landing pages more effective.

You can begin using these methods now or if you’d prefer additional internet marketing solutions, then click on the following link to learn more about my done-for-you system.

6 Content Marketing Strategies That You Need to Rethink

Hey my Friend,

Marketing StrategyIn today’s blog, we will briefly mention six marketing strategies regarding the content of your blog/site. You can use it as a checklist to maximize the effectiveness of your writing and to reach the maximum possible audience.

Content is king. At least, that’s the phrase that’s been tossed around for the past few years. One of the biggest factors in the success of any internet marketing campaign is the quality of the content. While you might think that you’ve got a handle on content marketing, there are a few strategies that you may need to rethink.

If your marketing strategies are getting stale, it could be time to refresh your perspective. Review some of the latest strategies. The following 6 content marketing tips can help you reshape your approach to content marketing.

Write Longer Content

One strategy for surpassing your competition in search engine rankings is to write longer content. Take a look at the blog posts and content released by your competition. Copy and paste the content into a word processor to determine the length of the content. You’ll find that most content is less than 1000 words.

Focus on Long Tail Keywords

When you perform keyword research, look for long tail keywords. Work these keywords into the title of your content. As you write the content, you’ll naturally find that you include variations of these long tail keywords. This lets you cover all your bases and include a wide variety of phrases.

Quadruple Check Spelling and Grammar

Check SpellingIt’s amazing how much content contains spelling and grammar mistakes. While a customer may overlook one or two small issues, content that’s full of mistakes is difficult to read. It hurts the brain and the eyes. The majority of readers will leave your site if they find too many spelling and grammar errors in your content.

In addition to using the built-in spell checker on your word processor, consider installing one or two additional spell checking programs. Afterwards, give your content a good read through to catch any other mistakes.

Create Helpful Content

Along with writing longer content, you should ensure the content is helpful. Include actionable steps, suggestions, and tips that your readers can actually use. The majority of the content that you release should provide some benefit to your readers.

How-to articles, lists, and even video tutorials are all incredibly popular options. By creating helpful content, you’ll increase the likelihood of your readers sharing this information with their friends and family.

Share Everything on Social Media

You’re probably already aware that Google and other search engines don’t include social media likes and shares in search engine rankings. This doesn’t mean that you won’t benefit from sharing your content on social networking sites. The more people share your posts, the greater chance of people finding your content and linking to it.

Schedule Your Content

As a final tip, you should consider scheduling your content. If you post new blog articles several Scheduletimes per month, it’s hard to gain repeat traffic. But, if your visitors are aware that you add a new post every Monday afternoon, they’re more likely to check back at the same time every week.

In order to ensure you stay on track with the release of your content, you should schedule your content. This is easy with WordPress, as you can set the publication date. For those using other platforms, you might need to install a third-party application to schedule your posts. Another option is to always have a few posts ready as a backup.

The strength of your internet marketing is often dependent on the quality of your content. Begin using these strategies as a part of your content marketing approach. If you’d like to benefit from additional internet marketing and lead generation tips, then click on this link to learn about my done-for-you system.

Using a Rewards Program with Your Marketing Strategy

Hey Friend,

In this week’s blog, we will find out how to use rewards program to create a loyal customer base.

LoyaltyUsing a rewards program or loyalty program is a great way to attract customers as a part of your internet marketing strategy. They’ve been found to help build customer loyalty and increase sales. These programs show your customers that you care about them and that you value their business.

Unfortunately, if you don’t use your rewards program correctly, they can quickly become a marketing nightmare. The following tips will help you to use your rewards program to attract customers, gain brand recognition, and increase conversions.

Create an Opt-in Program

There’re many different ways to start a rewards program. You can use loyalty punch cards, membership cards, and other physical methods of tracking customer behavior. Though, these solutions won’t work with an online business. For this, you’ll need to create an opt-in program.

This works the same as any other opt-in program or mailing list. Create a sign-up form, a landing page, and then advertise the page through your social media platforms or with PPC advertising. This helps to ensure that the people that sign up really are interested in benefiting from the rewards program.

Integrate the Rewards Program with Your Payment Platform

RewardsDepending on the payment platform that you use, you should find it relatively easy to integrate your rewards program. This will simplify the process of offering discounts or sales to your members. Not only will this be easier for the deployment of your rewards program, your customers will find it easier to use.

Choose Your Rewards Carefully

You should take the time to choose the right rewards or incentives for your customers. You don’t want to offer them too much of a discount or special offer. Though, it needs to have enough of a value to entice them into signing up for the rewards program.

One idea is to offer a small discount for all purchases. For example, offer members 5% off any purchase. On top of this, you could throw in some free goodies. This could include eBooks, PDFs, video content, and other exclusive content that is created solely for your members.

Create an Email Marketing Campaign

You should include an email marketing campaign with your rewards program. Members thatEmail join the program should receive periodic emails with special offers or discounts. Even if these are the same deals being presented to non-members, you should create a separate email for rewards members.

This will increase engagement. As you begin to build trust and loyalty, you should find that you have higher conversion rates with emails sent to members than you do with emails sent to non-members.

A Few Words of Warning

If you choose to create a loyalty program, never sell the information that you gain to a third party. The goal of creating a loyalty program is gain the trust of your customers. By selling their information, you violate this pact — defeating the purpose of the rewards program.

Customer service should be a major part of any important business decision. Creating a rewards program isn’t something that you should rush into. Take your time to plan out your marketing campaign and how you intend to implement your rewards program.

A rewards program can be a powerful marketing tool, when it is used correctly. For decades, they’ve been a major part of many businesses’ key marketing strategies. When you provide your customers with something of real value, it shows them that you value their business and want to give back a little.

These programs can go a long way towards helping you establish a solid customer base. Consider setting up your own rewards program using the information provided. For additional tips and suggestions, check out my lead generation system — done-for-you system.

Marketing Your Own Personality to Drive Branding for Your Online Business

Hi Friend,

This week, we are talking about imprinting your brand into your marketing. There are several things you can do to achieve that. Let’s see some of them.

When you run an affiliate marketing business, long-term relationships are far more profitable than short-term revenues. In only a very limited number of cases is there high value to jumping into a hot market, making a big splash, then getting out as fast as you can.

BrandingIn most cases, building long-term relationships with your customers in the end is the most rewarding strategy, both financially and in terms of your company’s reputation and brand.

If you consider your customers to be your friends, rather than simply your customers, you can improve the effectiveness of any marketing program.

Any time you contact your customers – whether via email, social media, in forums or anywhere else – you should try to personalize the experience as much as possible. Share details about your personal history and family life.

Give your customers the opportunity to develop a genuine emotional bond with you and offer them a vested interest in your success. This will result in a long, prosperous business relationship with a larger group of customers and it will help build your reputation online. Remember, that and you can continually grow your business for many years to come.

Putting Your Personality on the Squeeze Page

For example, how much is an email opt-in worth to you? In other words, when you get personalitysomebody to act on your squeeze page — they give you their email address in exchange for whatever high value, niche related content you are giving away for free — what does that mean in terms of cash business? A ballpark estimate is that each opt-in is worth about 50 cents to one dollar per month. And I would say that’s pretty conservative.

So if you have 1,000 opt-ins on a particular squeeze page per month, you can expect that to bring you at least $500 to $1,000 per month.

Every email opt-in you get, you put that person into your sales funnel. That means you are going to be sending them offers and affiliate product promotions interspersed with other high value content and personal information.

The Value of Customers

According to the industry average, each person on your list is worth about 75 cents per month to you.

Obviously, you can increase this average by promoting products people really want and by doing a great job nurturing interpersonal relationships with the people on your list.

Once people opt-in to your subscriptions list, ideally, you want to push your subscribers up your value ladder. This means that regardless of your niche, the purpose of the sales funnel is to push your customers so that they buy offers with bigger and bigger price tags.

You can promote these products using the multiple marketing platforms you have created, including your email subscriber list, social media, squeeze pages, article and forum marketing, and even paid marketing like CPC ads and Google Adwords. How prospects find your sales funnel is less important than what they do once they arrive there.

Gateway Offers

GateThe gateway offer is the first product that you are going to ask your prospects to pay for. Your gateway offer promotion comes after any giveaway product from your squeeze page or elsewhere. The important aspect of the gateway offer is that it should have enormous perceived value for your prospects. In other words, you should over-deliver for what they are paying.

With digital products, it’s hard to lose money in distribution because you can re-sell the same product repeatedly without any additional production costs. Still, it should seem to your customers as if what they are getting with their gateway product is worth far, far more than what they are paying. One way to do this is to provide the highest quality products possible.

Offering your customers value and using your own personality and personal history to build relationships is vital to your success. How to Create an Emotional Response with Video Marketing

Hey Friend,

In the last video post, I talked about video marketing and it this one, we will go over some other aspects of video marketing in your online business.

Video content is becoming an important part of internet marketing strategies. They help keep visitors engaged. It’s been found that consumers are more likely to retain information obtained from a video than information that they read.

When creating video content, being able to create an emotional response helps your content connect with viewers. They become more interested in your content and they’re more likely to move onto the next step in your marketing approach.

Here’re some of the most effective emotional triggers for video content marketing.

Using Fear in Video Content

FearFear is one of the biggest motivators. You can see this in action in commercials and video content for insurance companies, law firms, and other service-based businesses. The idea of using fear is to give viewers the idea that they need a particular service or product or else something bad could happen.

Fear is most effective when there is a real danger involved. For example, you wouldn’t use fear when marketing a toy or a video game.

The Power of Guilt

Guilt is closely associated to fear. Though, it’s used in a different manner. You can often see guilt at play in content for non-profit organizations. As an example, you can watch almost any video for animal shelters, feeding the poor, and other aid organizations, and see examples of guilt being used to illicit a response.

Instant Gratification for Immediate Action

Instant gratification can be used to create a sense of urgency. This compels viewers to take immediate action. This may help with impulse decisions. Using trigger phrase such as “act now” or “limited time only” can increase conversion rates for sales, deals, and special promotions.

Create a Sense of Belonging

BelongingAnother commonly used emotional trigger is creating a sense of belonging. Most people don’t like to be alone. Letting consumers know that they’ll be part of a family encourages them to take action. This type of emotional trigger is often used for service-based products.

Creating a sense of belonging can also be beneficial for helping to build a community. If you’re looking to get people to join your community, let potential members know that by joining your community they will be part of a family.

Competition and Leadership in Video Content

Some people like to be the first to try something. This can give people a sense of importance, leadership, and can be used to appeal to their competitive nature. Performance products are often marketed in this manner. As an example, athletic shoes may claim to help you jump higher, run faster, and generally excel at a particular sport.

A Few Suggestions About Choosing an Emotional Trigger

You should be careful when choosing an emotional trigger. By making the wrong choice, you could end up alienating a portion of your target audience. Obviously, you can’t appeal to everyone at the same time. But, you should do your best to avoid upsetting anyone.

Unless you’re going after a specific demographic, you should avoid attempting anything too wildEmotional or crazy. You should stick with the triggers that you’d like to see in a video for your content. You want to elicit a specific reaction to encourage viewers to take action.

People are bombarded with commercials and video content every day. In order to cut through all of these messages, your video needs to create an emotional response. This not always easy. But, if you take the time to consider the emotional triggers discussed, you’ll be off to a good start.

Consider the emotional triggers discussed the next time you create video content for your business. Along with emotional triggers for video content, there are many other ways to grab people’s attention. For additional ideas on how to do this, you may benefit by learning more about my done-for-you system.

Making Genuine, Long-Lasting Connections with Your Customers: A Primer

Hi Friend,

In this week’s blog, we are going to talk about connecting with your customers, so they can trust you, like you and buy from you.

One of the hardest parts of running your own online marketing business is making genuine connections with your customers. Once you can build trust, you can develop a list of loyal customers who will buy from you again and again.

You can outsource your list building by hiring an inexpensive telemarketing service or by hiring a virtual assistant at one of the freelance hiring websites, such as ODesk, Guru or Elance.

Here you can find lots of skilled, talented people who are willing to do the grunt work of finding leads for you organically for very little money. The best part is you can set a budget for the job you want done and then let prospective contractors bid on the job.

Then you can simply hire the person, give them the parameters of the job you want done, set a deadline and let them go to work. Usually, the freelance hiring site will take care of all the administrative tasks for you, like supervising their work and making sure you get what you paid for.

Where to Buy Leads Safely

Leads - Make Money Online

If you are going to buy leads, just about the only safe places to buy lists from are reputable solo ad providers.

Buying solo ads is the best way to get around the risks associated with buying lists. That’s because when you buy a list form solo ad from a provider, you already know that the people on that list want to hear about the types of offer you are promoting.

They already know the provider and have agreed to receive their emails, so they aren’t going to mark your emails as spam, in all likelihood. They also probably aren’t going to delete your email out of hand.

Benefits of Ad Swaps

Ad swaps are another legitimate way to accomplish the same objective that you are attempting to achieve with buying lists … namely, getting your sales message in front of an entirely new group of prospective customers who are open to the types of products you are promoting.

Except with solo ad and ad swaps you don’t have to worry about the dark downside that comes with buying lists.

Think about it. Let’s say you have purchased products from an Internet marketer in the past and look forward to receiving emails from that person because they consistently provide you with things you can use … either free information you can use or offers that of are interest to you.

That marketer sells a solo ad to another marketer, so you get an email from them that says,

Ad Swaps - Make Money Online

“Hey, check out this internet marketer. They have great products and offers and I highly recommend them.”

The email comes with a link to your squeeze page or an opt-in box right there on the email. Either way, you probably are going to opt-in to that marketer and be open to receiving emails from them. You probably are going to pay attention to their offer and, hopefully, act on it and get something of value.

Contrast that with getting an email from that very same marketer who has purchased our email address from a list clearinghouse. It could be exactly the same offer that you received via the solo ad route … same subject line, same text, same everything.

But in all likelihood you are going to delete that message without reading it simply because it was unsolicited.

Getting People to Trust You

Trust - Make Money Online

People aren’t going to open your unsolicited emails because there’s just too much risk with computer viruses and other malware these days to open emails from people you don’t know. The last thing anybody wants is for their hard drive to crash.

So instead of buying lists from companies you don’t know, the better option is to buy solo ads from people you trust and who can put you in touch directly with the types of customers who already are going to be open to buying the types of products you are promoting.

Building genuine loyalty bonds with your customers is essential to your long-term success. If you’d like to have access to even more powerful marketing tips, as well as a way to generate conversion-ready Internet marketing prospects each month, click here to learn about my done-for-you system.

Email Marketing: Knowing What to Send and When

Hey my Friend,

Emailing your followers and subscribers is a way to let them know you care about them and to share value with them. You also have to remind them that you are still there, since they probably receive lots of emails from different sources anyway.

How to do it properly, you might wonder. Here are a few rules you should have in mind.

If you already have a list of subscribers who are passionate about your niche, it’s time to set up a series of emails that you program your autoresponder to send out according to a pre-set schedule. This is known as an “email swipe”.

There’s no limit to the number of emails you can send out. Your subscribers keep getting them until they unsubscribe from your list. As long as your emails provide something your customers want, they will continue to keep opening them.

And, as long as they are opening your emails, rather than deleting them without reading them, you have the opportunity to sell the products you are promoting to the people on your email list.

What Emails Should Do

The emails you send out should serve one of two purposes:

  • Reinforce your subscriber’s loyalty by giving them something of high value for free
  • Promote a particular product or service

Effective email swipes contain both types of emails. If you send out emails that just promote products and services, your subscribers aren’t going to get a lot of value from your emails and they will be more likely to unsubscribe.

Email Marketing

Instead, alternate these promotional emails with ones that provide free high-value content that they can actually use in their everyday lives. Your subscribers then will be more likely to open your emails and to purchasing the products or services you promote when you send promotional emails.

Toggling between these two types of emails successfully requires a lot of skill, much of which comes with experience.

Keep in mind that once the person on your email list makes the choice to delete your email without reading it the first time, it’s going to be harder and harder for you to get them to open any subsequent emails that you send.

That’s why it is critically important that you keep your emails interesting enough and provide enough value so that the people on your list will have no choice but to open your emails every time you send them.

What Kind of Content to Include

Free high-value emails should contain either original content that you have created yourself or content you have purchased or commissioned from freelancers, PLR or some other source. Your emails can even simply contain links to informative content your subscribers will find useful.

By the way, this strategy works the same when marketing in other platforms as well, not just Email Marketingemail. You can provide high value content and keep people looking forward to your next submission on places such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and many other formats. The principle is the same.

Consider your emails swipes as a newsletter that you send your subscribers. A newsletter contains interesting and helpful articles about topics that interesting. If your content is high quality and your subscribers enjoy it, they are going to be more open to buying the products and services you promote in your newsletter.

How Often Should You Send Emails?

While there is no agreed-upon schedule for free content and promotional emails, use a 3:1 proportion. For every promotional email you send out, send out three that provide free high value content designed to build loyalty with your subscribers.

Promotional emails should have a structure similar to a sales letter. Have a clear Call to Action (CTA) that says exactly you want your reader to do: Buy a product, subscribe to a newsletter, invest in your company, etc.

Promotional emails need to have a link where your subscribers can click on to buy the products or services you are promoting.

Content of Promotional Emails

Promotional EmailThe content you promote in your promotional emails can be either original or something you commissioned another person to create for you. You also can promote affiliate products, which are products sold by somebody else but promoted by you. When a subscriber clicks through and buys one of these affiliate products, you get paid a commission.

Affiliate products are popular among email marketers because they don’t require you to purchase anything up front or worry about delivering the product to the buyer. All you do is promote the product and when a sale is made, you get paid.
