Today, I ran Vancouver Sun Run for the first time in my life. I don’t usually run, a prefer other forms of exercises, but this was for the good cause and bunch of my friends participated too. I decided to support it myself, by signing up.
This is actually the first big marathon – like event I’ve been to. It was a unique experience, because of the overall vibe and atmosphere. There were about 50.000 participants, which is just outstanding.
Each and every person I saw was in extremely good mood. It seems like nothing can spoil the party atmosphere, not even unusually cold weather for Vancouver in April, not even a cold rain which came exactly at the start of the race.
The organization was flawless and the bands played all along the route. I was almost tempted to stop and listen to one of the bands that played awesome reggae music, but I wanted to see how long it will take for me to finish the race.
